I’ve had a rebuke since I first started blogging. More than one, actually. So let me take this chance to clarify something.
People are saying that I’ve only started blogging in an attempt to attract people to my website (ianhornett.wixsite.com/home) and to get better recognised as an author. They are claiming that I’m only now on the likes of Twitter (@Iancolufan), Facebook (www.facebook.com/ianmichaelhornett), Instagram (@ianhornett) and Email (Ianhornettofficial@gmail.com) to promote my book (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Quarton-Bridge-Book-1-ebook/dp/B07NV2SQZT/). Quite frankly, it’s not true and, what's more, is an insult to my moral-standing both as an author and as the husband of someone whose mother-in-law’s son is an author too.
Sneaky advertising is not my domain (www.ianhornett.com) at all. I did not do an article for the Colchester Gazette (https://www.gazette-news.co.uk/news/17444196.teacher-ian-hornett-takes-leap-of-faith-to-become-writer/) just to use it as an excuse to be part of a social media saturation attempt where I throw in some random links (#don’tforgettopressthecontrokeydownasyouclickonthelink) at the start of a blog to encourage visitors to buy my book, Quarton: The Bridge (available as an e-book, search in Amazon Books).
I have more respect for you, my readership, than that. Some people in my position might start throwing in random references from the book about its main theme of reincarnation. I won't. You’re far too smart to fool for it.
After all: you weren’t born again yesterday.
What’s more, I can categorically state that there will be no hidden messages in any of my blogs pertaining to my book. So, please bear that in mind as you prepare to read my next trilogy of blogs about embarrassing kitchen-related incidents entitled: Caught on the Fridge.
